Fez

Fez in the old spelling, is a town in central Morocco, located 180 km east of Rabat. It is the second most populous city in Morocco after Casablanca. Its foundation is located at the end of the eighth century, during the reign of Idris I.


Fez is the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. You can visit the Al Karaouine University, the oldest in the world long before Oxford and Cambridge with his Arab-Andalusian style 3, the Medina is classified world heritage by UNESCO, Fez and around the spa town of Sidi harazem.



The city is famous for its rich crafts, whose expertise is closely guarded and passed from father to son for generations. 
Located in the fertile plain of Sais, Fez has a large food industry.
